Days 5,6,7,8 & 9 of the 30/30 challenge

Well!!! Woweee!!! It has been a big week. My Facebook page has gone from 300 followers a week ago to nudging 4000 as I write this. I participated in my first ever painting workshop with Malcolm Carver. It was amazing but I'll talk a bit more about that in a future post. It deserves more time than this little post. So, the 30 in 30 challenge is in full swing. I've managed to keep up so far with varying degrees of success. I guess the main thing is that I'm putting in the hours and that is gradually translating into more confident work. What are your thoughts?

Winterlude - 10 Years On

I was fortunate enough to travel a couple of hours down the freeway to Sydney last week to check out an exhibition of work from five fantastic artists, three of which are among my absolute favourites.  In the Winterlude exhibit, held at Artarmon Galleries, you get to peruse the work of Joseph Zbukvic, Herman Pekel, Alvaro Castagnet, Nic Canosa and Patrick Carroll. What can I say? The work was both beyond inspirational and in some cases, beyond amazing. Incredible. Having only seen their work on computer and TV screens up to this point, it was truly an eye-opener to see them in the flesh.
