A Few New Works. Traditional.

Aaaah... Back to the real stuff.. :) 

 I've had a few commissions recently which is great. I'm starting to get cracking on a body of cohesive work to sell online and perhaps even approach a gallery one day in the future. 

 Here are a few recent ones. Sorry for the pic of the one in the frame. I was rushed and purely took the pic as it was heading out the door. Dammit. :)

Winterlude - 10 Years On

I was fortunate enough to travel a couple of hours down the freeway to Sydney last week to check out an exhibition of work from five fantastic artists, three of which are among my absolute favourites.  In the Winterlude exhibit, held at Artarmon Galleries, you get to peruse the work of Joseph Zbukvic, Herman Pekel, Alvaro Castagnet, Nic Canosa and Patrick Carroll. What can I say? The work was both beyond inspirational and in some cases, beyond amazing. Incredible. Having only seen their work on computer and TV screens up to this point, it was truly an eye-opener to see them in the flesh. The detail (or lack there of) that you miss on the screen is what makes all the difference. What I mean by that is the middle ground detail in a lot of their work is all based around correct perspective and tone.
