A Few New Works. Traditional.

Image
Aaaah... Back to the real stuff.. :)  I've had a few commissions recently which is great. I'm starting to get cracking on a body of cohesive work to sell online and perhaps even approach a gallery one day in the future.  Here are a few recent ones. Sorry for the pic of the one in the frame. I was rushed and purely took the pic as it was heading out the door. Dammit. :)  Thanks for reading, Tony

A Few New Works - Digital.

Hey Y'All, Sorry it has been a while. I've been busy with life in general. Still doing a lot of drawing and painting though. I'm trying to build up a body of work to develop an Online sales presence. It is a lot of work but I'm sure it will pay off eventually. Imagine being able to quit your day-job to paint!!! I originally only wanted it as a reference guide for my locations and photo storage etc, but I've discovered the somewhat dubious world of digital art. I bought the Procreate app and have been slowly getting used to this other art form. I do believe it is somewhat of a cheat but it serves as fantastic and convenient practice as well. Tryng to emulate the greats.

Howdy, After receiving Joseph's Book, I decided to run through one of his step-by-step paintings to see if anything could be learned. I was a bit sceptical based on not wanting to 'copy' as such, but boy was  I wrong? It is an invaluable lesson. Reading though his steps is like being taught by the man himself.I strongly   urge anyone to try to do as many of these exercises as they can. I'll be doing more, that is for sure. Here is my first attempt. Not too shabby. I think it'll really help in development of colour harmony and composition. Fantastic fun.. What do you think? Zbukvic's is on the left of course.
